Behold, le photoshop babies! Made these last semester to make announcing things less boring. (I was just prolly delaying the things I had to do… as always.)

But yes, I especially enjoyed turning my best friend into a Pop-Tart-eating-zombie. Mehehehe.

Devoid

Modeling by Miko Ancheta

I found myself post-processing still images to give myself a little break from all the video editing I’ve been doing the whole vacation. Doing a certain thing too much or too often drains you sometimes. Consequently, you find another outlet for creative expression — or any kind of “me time,” for that matter — just to keep yourself together. You need to balance it all out, so you won’t lose yourself even if you find that thing very fulfilling.

This is a last-minute campaign poster I designed for Dyosa, a political party in the upcoming Dollhouse elections. The supposed graphic designers were unable to produce a poster at that time for some reason, so I tried to make one myself instead. It was quite a challenge to create a typography for this (since dark, grungy and epic-looking are far from my usual “style”), but I guess it turned out pretty decent. As the saying goes, “Change is good.” :)
On another note, the video we made where this poster was based from will come out really soon. Prepare to be blown away (or so we hope)! :)

New tag icons!

I did these in Photoshop (again), since I am still quite illiterate in Illustrator. I only used the Shape Tool in drawing these, because I honestly cannot figure out how the Pen Tool works in either editing platforms. XD *sigh* /i fail in graphic art.

Ringo Business Card Designs

DESIGN 1: ELEGANT, DAINTY & CLASSIC

DESIGN 2: FRESH, HIP & CONTEMPORARY

I designed these business cards for my best friend, Lav, for her baking business, Ringo. She bakes the best pies, cookies, brownies and cakes, by the way! :) On another note, it was fun tinkering with Photoshop earlier after a long time of not creating graphic designs and layouts. I had so many business card ideas in mind, but I guess two designs would be enough for now. I’m also glad the apple drawing turned out okay, since I rarely draw something in Photoshop. Nonetheless, I’m contented. :D

*Edit*: For those who are asking why the logo is apple, Lav said “ringo” is Japanese for apple. Although she did not explain it any further, I think it’s because one of her best sellers is her apple pie. :)

Day 12: A photo of myself
This is me unleashing my colors. Haha! I modeled for our Chameleon sandals we were selling in fourth year high school for an interschool contest. It was a great learning experience. And to be honest, I kinda miss it already.
Post-processing by me. XD

These are the layouts I made back in fourth year for our English class project. The rest of the layouts (not shown here) were made by Angela Escudero.
