Felt the urge to draw one of my friends. Yes, that is you, Lalalalyka Gonzalez.

(Sorry kung sabog. After many months of not drawing, yan lang kaya ko. Haha.)

Anyway, decided to just tape the mouth ng ma-realize ko na hindi ko talaga kaya magdrawing ng lips.

12”x18”. Used charcoal and a paper stump. Masking tape and pentel pen for the mouth cover.

Drawn by my very awesome friend-slash-producer, Miko. I feel so honored. Haha! I’m sorry if my lips were hard to draw. Hahaha. But thank you so much! :)

Being in the same room with these scientific geniuses made me feel insignificant.

My dad, mom, grandmother and I attended my brother’s (Troy) graduation last Sunday in UP Diliman. My brother graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Physics. The speakers delivered hard-hitting speeches with so much depth. One of my favorite lines would be Dr. Raul Fabella’s, a professor in the School of Economics, “Heroes may not always win, but they never quit.”

The College of Science had an incredibly abundant number of graduates with laude’s. My dad and I could not even fathom the fact that in BS Microbiology and Biotechnology, there are only seven students who graduated without any of the awards, while the rest did. As in sunud-sunod silang may Summa Cum Laude / Magna Cum Laude / Cum Laude. Grabe. John Gabriel Pelias, the 19-year-old record-setter who graduated with a GWA of 1.016, was also there. He was given standing ovations and loud cheers whenever he walked on stage.

Took most of these shots using our 70-300mm macro lens (which we refer to as our “telephoto” lens. Haha.) It’s been years since I last used it. It came in very handy back then as my bro’s band’s official photographer/videographer, but after that we never found a use for it anymore… until last Sunday. I forgot how great its depth of field is + how sharp its focus is. Now I’m reconsidering using this lens again whenever we travel or have shoots. :)

Anyway, my brother took these photos later that day:

Congratulations, Kuya and to all the graduates this year! :)
