Summer’s Quarter

For months I have longed for adventure.
Away from all the strain
and away from the mundane.
A gist of it in the first
quarter of summer.
But I know there are more—
Places to venture,
People to see,
Cultures to breathe,
Journeys to experience.
And I can’t wait.

On Motion and the Still Life

It gets to a point when doing too much videography becomes tiring. Everything is in twenty-four, thirty or sixty frames per second, and you get carried away by all the motion. That sometimes all you want to do is pause for a while, and let the stills capture the moment—the people, the experience, the emotion, the story.

Of Meanders and Wanderlust

Sometimes we forget
that there is so much to see
in this world.
We get used to living
each day of our lives
confined to the comforts of our home
that we have become desensitized
to how sheltered we have been growing up.
And at that moment you decide
to see the world, you realize
how significantly small you are
compared to the world
of infinitude.
Slowly, wanderlust consumes you.
Life captivates you.
And the mundane starts to
evolve into something beautiful.
